Our Breakfast room is warm and welcoming with a stripped pine floor, authentic period fireplace and large bay windows. You will see a host of teapots and there are ample tables so you can dine with others or on your own. We consider breakfast to be an experience to be savoured and Lynn just loves presenting the very best of breakfast fare.

A typical breakfast consists of fruit juice, a choice of cereals or porridge and a full cooked English breakfast made with high quality local produce. Our sausages, lean smoked bacon and whole tomatoes are grilled, whilst the organic mushrooms are gently sautéed on the stove top. The free range eggs can be fried, poached or scrambled to your liking. This is topped by home made granary bread (or shop white if you wish) either toasted or just sliced, fresh coffee or a choice of teas. Our own homemade jams and marmalades finish off the breakfast experience. In all a meal to set you up for the day and healthy too.

We have an extensive menu which includes smoked haddock served with a poached egg, scrambled eggs cooked to perfection & topped with fresh smoked salmon. For those with simple needs we can offer boiled eggs with toast soldiers, croissants or breads.

Vegetarians do not need to go hungry at Bridge House, because we also offer a cooked breakfast which is cooked separately. Lynda McCartney sausages, grilled tomato, organic mushrooms, eggs of your choice and a rosti make a super breakfast and often non vegetarians go for this choice because it tastes so good! We can even provide dairy free alternatives on request – but please give us enough notice

In the summer, our guests may choose to eat alfresco on our patio overlooking the garden where we have provided tables and chairs with umbrellas.

Whilst we do not offer evening meals, we can provide snacks such as sandwiches, toasties or soup and bread. We also have cold drinks, chocolate and crisps - All at reasonable cost. Should you want something a bit stronger to drink please remember, that we are not licensed, so you should bring your own - we will happily refrigerate it for you and provide glasses. There are plenty of good restaurants locally offering a wide range of cuisines. We will be happy to book a table for you.
